About Laura

I’m glad you’re here.

After many years of feeling like I needed to be or feel a certain way in order to be accepted, one of my greatest joys now is welcoming people exactly as they are. My work is rooted in the belief that your body can feel like a safe place to live, no matter what is happening around you.

I look forward to meeting you.

My approach

I am a yoga, embodiment, and partnered movement facilitator with over twenty years of teaching experience. My intention is to support you in discovering what becomes available when your life energy is held with care inside the container of your body.

Your body is not something to overcome or fix. It can be a place where you feel supported, nurtured, and free. When the nervous system feels safe, breath deepens, movement becomes more natural, and energy begins to circulate with greater ease.

My highest priority is your well-being. I create experiences that support a loving foundation within yourself and within community, so you can move through life with greater clarity, resilience, and vitality.

On nervous system regulation and movement

A student once asked me about my intention behind facilitating movement for nervous system support. My answer continues to evolve, but this is what feels true now.

When I notice space within myself and feel content in what I am doing in the moment, I experience a sense of peace. From that place, I have a greater capacity to meet life with compassion and ease. This is one of the greatest gifts of nervous system regulation. It is my joy to guide others toward their own experience of this contentment.

On a physical level, I also recognize how stress and lack of awareness can gradually lead the body into strained or injurious patterns. The body is always moving toward healing, but chronic tension and habitual positioning can interfere with that process. When we return to awareness and allow unnecessary effort to release, we create space for healing and for renewed vitality to emerge.

Trust, movement, and daily life

Yoga, embodiment, and partnered movement are deeply connected to trust for me. When we move through life feeling unsafe, rushed, or disconnected, the nervous system reflects that. Breathing becomes shallow, movement becomes forced, and that same constriction often shows up in how we relate, decide, and respond.

When we begin from a loving foundation, feeling safe to expand, our breathing deepens and we make decisions from a place of wellbeing.

It is my honor to facilitate safe experiences for people to discover the loving foundation within that is always available.
